Tara Kraft (born 28 December 1980[1] in St Leonards, Australia) is an American actress. She currently resides in Seattle, Washington.

Background

Tara attended Blue Valley North High School in Overland Park, Kansas. During high school Tara appeared in a national grocery commercial after winning the Hy-Vee Grocery "My Hy-Vee Sing and Smile" contest.

Acting career

Tara continued acting in commercials and industrial films through college and eventually in Seattle, Washington, where she has appeared in commercials for Taco Time and print campaigns for Keen.

A versatile dancer and choreographer, Tara's feature film debut came with the 2006 independent film Lost on the B side.[2] Tara played Josie, a struggling young dancer. The film is about a character named Peter Greene, a music executive, whose life spins out of control after meeting a seductive and manipulative woman.[3]

Tara also played the role of Ms. Morton in the gritty 2007 internet film Neck Bomb.[4] Neck Bomb is based on the true story of Brian Douglas Wells - a pizza delivery man who was kidnapped and forced to rob a bank with a bomb strapped around his neck.

In 2009, Tara hosted The Visual Kitchen [5] as part of the launch of Microsoft Expression Studio 3 and Microsoft Silverlight 3.

Career in Technology

Tara attended the University of Southern California and Duke University, where she earned a BS in Computer Science in 2003, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Tara worked as a programmer for the video game production company, Gigawatt Studios, where she earned programming credits for Disney Imagineerying's Ultimate Ride and Secret Agent Barbie.[6]

As of 2003, she is a program manager for Microsoft.
